Yellow, White and Rose Gold
The colour of gold comes from the alloy metals mixed with it.
Alloys
Yellow gold uses silver and copper. Rose gold uses more copper. White gold uses palladium or nickel and is usually rhodium-plated for a bright finish.
Maintenance
White gold's rhodium plating wears over years and can be renewed by a jeweller. Rose and yellow gold need only polishing.
